“we''ll never play you again”

Cast my mind back to the last time I was at Fulham and I recall the waving passports of the R's fans at Alf as he did his walk about looking like a total headcase on day release.

Also Rob Styles who should have come in full Fulham shirt I know many fans think that some refs have it in for their club but I can say that he hated us he made the Wham wannabe Roger Milford look like the greatest ref ever.

Queen's Park Rangers as a club was in a real mess off and on the pitch Fulham might have only won by one goal but truth was they killed us that day and it was easy too see that they were on the way up as we were as clubs going in different directions.

The sad thing is I have no hate for Fulham at all never seen them as rivals and on the odd time a QPR game was called off late once or twice we went to their place and their fans at that time were decent and you could chat and they knew we were QPR and no hassle.

But that game changed it for me they acted up it was kicking off all over the ground, put in the mix the fact their fans could not even manage any kind of comeback to our chants.

Best of which was aimed at a man who was not the tallest and kept giving us the old wanker signs and cutting his neck as in you will get it out side kind of thing to which my mate at the time along with many others seen this during a quiet moment in a mad game sang back at him “you only work at Christmas” to which sent him over the edge and he had to be moved away.

Then at our place they came and acted up like public schoolboys on a day out and managed to find their first porn mag on the bus.

With that song “we''ll never play you again”

Now looking back on it we did hit our lowest point in being in admin we went down the legs and over them years seen us as fans save the club and no matter how bad them days at times were it was always the fans that took us forward.

And now many years later we are really saved and have players that will not only give Fulham a game but will be able to beat them something that was missing back in them days.

Now I hate that song and will never sing it to anyone as I know how I felt when them fecktarts stood as one and sang it to us.

Now Fulham will see on Sunday that some of us will never forgive them for that and nor should we.

I leave the Fulham fans will think this quote over as we show them who the real peoples club of West London is.

“The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. That's the essence of it.”

Frankly Mr. Spall

Yesterday I was reading that bit in the Daily Mail about Joey Barton by Leo Spall, This hack was trying to understand our managers mindset in giving the armband to Joey and before that Adel.
They even managed to get in the picture of a Wolves player in a heap and Barton walking away.
I was shocked they also did not get out the photo shop and say that during half time Joey jumped into a time machine and was the man who indeed shot JFK.

The hack also is worried that our children will indeed copy Joey Barton in the playground,So there you have it people if a child in the playground lifts his or her fingers to tell the other team of the score then football is over it it is finished.
What a load of old shite.

Right I like most Rangers fans watched that game and from the start of that game the Wolves players were sent out to hurt Joey or wind him up.
Now that does not make good Daily Mail headlines but that is how I seen it.

What also seemed to have bypassed the saviour of the game Mr Spall was the shocking leg smasher of a tackle by the Wolves player Nick Henry
Which I feel Joey was lucky to get up from and if Joey had of done that tackle on Henry and the ref missed it the FA would have come in and he would have been banned from a few games as they should have done with Henry.

Do not get me wrong I am not going to stand up for what Joey has done in the past or defend it but I think as a fan of our club I seen things in many ways and I see the lad coming to QPR and I will judge him on what his does in our Hoops.
And what I seen at Wolves does not I feel need a hack to try and question a manager who took a club from the drop door in the league to Champions the following season.
By asking in his outrage is Neil Warnock an agent provocateur?
He is a manager in the same manner of 100 per cent of the rest of the managers in the premier league.

I bet the same hack would be like many in the media very quick to say that Paul Scholes is not dirty just late in his tackles and make jokes about him and buses double standards I think in more than one way.
Being honest I ask myself why this man is so outraged by Joey wanting to have words with the sunday league style tackle done by Henry and his telling the fans the score it is a real shame that the same person did not ask why the FA did not take action on Henry and also how well Queen's Park Rangers played and how we used the ball and if our manager was from either of the North London Premier teams they would be saying that we are a great side with craft vision and style and will be a good side to watch in the premier.
But we are not and no matter how well the other lads do on the pitch the press and cameras only want to make Joey Barton the demon in the game and never give us credit for anything.

Well I am sorry to Leo Spall but fact of the matter is that Queen's Park Rangers are not the anti christ of football and nor or we a dirty side we play on the floor and I ask him to watch the whole game and talk about the game not his pre wrote match  notes that all it needs is to be sent to the paper after the end of the game.

Oh and no ,Warnock and Joey are not agent provocateurs but two men trying to keep Queen's Park Rangers in the premier league forgive us but come May we will be pleased to shove your words down you neck and look forward to you writing on us being a team of players that deserve our status in the premier league.
But I fear that will never happen but as long as the first bit does what you say is only fit to serve as bog roll should the need be.

The Game Above All

While on the tube yesterday I took note of how much this city is changing day by day and how London seems to want to replace our history with eye sore like buildings that look like a one year old was let lose with Lego.
Going in from Barnet I shared a train with some Chelsea fans now as a rule I love to talk as anyone who knows me will tell you and also I do like to chat to other fans at times.
But I sat down and just took note of what they talked about and bite my lip the words filled my head of our take on their blue flag song.
And I have to be honest I do not like them in fact I hate them always have and will can not change that now at my age.
But I was shocked on what they talked about it is all about how many goals they will score and if trying to google the other teams players as they had no idea about them at all.

Worst of all the young lad had only seen them lose twice in the years he was going and I swear in his head he felt that they can not lose at home and if they do the manager needs to go.
I was amazed at this.
Not due to them being fans of the club I hate but as I felt when I was young all the fun in going to the game is seeing your lads do all they can to beat the other side.
I do not think I have ever gone a season or a mind set that if we do not win the games and beat all in front of us and by not doing so it is not sorrow I feel due to the loss but anger almost spolit child like that someone did not read the rules of the new modern football.

I think of talking to my mates on Monday and all we could think about was we now have a team that can and will give anyone in this league a game as with Bolton the other week if we did not change that we would have done a Derby.

Anyway my point of this blog today is I am glad we are not like them I am pleased that when and if we are lucky enough to win one of the three top trophies we will enjoy it and understand that a football club is not about the glory it is indeed the game above all.

I still can not take in the fact that on a radio phone in a Chelsea fan came on and said that winning the FA only would be seen as a failed season.
No, with that mindset you are a failed fan of the game.

Gracie Fields your boys gave us a kicking.

What a week we beat Everton Shaun Derry faultless and played the best midfield role in a Rangers shirt since god knows when.
Right after the game i turned to my mates and said that's us out of the league cup on Tuesday then,so it came that Rochdale came down and well worth their win and the 2nd goal would have looked good in the premier.

That said our manager did not care nor the players i wish they would have said before the game that they would give the game away so easy and not made us dig in and pay £15 to watch that load of old rubbish
Then also comes the word that Rangers are after the one and only and much issued Joey Barton a man who stands up to cheats by cheating, and who also plays The Smiths twitters poet and also has a hair cut that George Orwell would have loved.

He is called trouble and there is a topic right away on the message boards but and this is the big but the boy can play if he was without his moments of madness he would be in the England team  then you read this Joey Q and A and you see something different in the man not saying what he does is right at all in fact the cigar act was pure vile but reading that made me think a wee bit i grew up in one of the hardest estates in Belfast and then one in London as well that was not easy to live in.

And you get to see how easy it is for people with a brain to be ignored and left to chase dreams and fail due to the fact the world turns it's back on such Estates at times.
Joey is complex and deep some what insane at times.
But you feel he is in love with the game and it is a shame if the lad will end the game with a media tag and no medals.

I always think back to Mark Dennis one of the best footballers i have seen at QPR forget the headlines that man without his moments would have been  int he  England team.
But he made his mistakes and his talent ignored and i hope Joy does does not suffer the same fate.
Look at Poor old Gazza the media made him feel they were laughing with him yet they set him up to knock him down week after week.

Now back to dear old Rochdale i am think and maybe they do but it is wrong they do not belt out a Gracie Fields number During the game.

Ok this week in QPR land we said hello and goodbye to the League Cup and perhaps Joey Barton now a cure for all that is Three points at Wigan

it's the dawning of a new era

They say a week in politics is a long time,at Queen's Park Rangers it is more a lifetime and also from despair to a rebirth in a week was something to sit down think over maybe shed a tear of joy that the club is now away from the fire of doom and in the hands of people that promise to help build dreams.

On the way to Everton yesterday i sat in the car thinking of all the times i have spent on the motorways and in service stations chatting to people giving a U R's to fellow hoops and feeling such pride in that iconic shirt.
And always as well with seeing other teams fans walking around same as us with hopes and dreams the season is still too young for despair and the false dawns are still in mind and the dreams alive.
That said last Saturday was the worst start to the season is so many ways and yet a week on heading home down the motorway the car was buzzing fans at the service stations happy again means so much.

I knew nothing about our new owner but i like what he says and i like the fact he understands football as is in the game and he already has but people into run the business side of it and the passion is back in the boardroom.

Gone will be the mindset of some fans are better than others the years of spin and lies and the worst of crimes the vile smears put about Loftus Road about fans players and even managers.
It was a breeding ground for them as lies was the key used to gain the club and turn it at times  a monster seeing fans argue and fight was just so sad and wrong and i hope that them days will now be gone.

It will also see the end of agents coming into the club and writing their own contracts on insane deals that seen the club become a cash cow to those who have no interest in our club.
The dark shadow of greed hung over us like the grim ripper would come from time to time and many times we were pulled out of  the frying pan to be chucked straight into the fire.

Now at last i can sit back and feel like that kid who sat on them coaches that went all over the land to see the Queen's Park Rangers and i can say loud and proud that this time we are truly saved.
And yesterday i dedicate to the wonderful person who took me onto them coaches for the first time and took me into the Queen's Park Rangers family that is dear old and  much missed Mrs Daphne Biggs god bless her and our new QPR.

"Never, never, never, never give up."”

I must be old well i know i am but i recall the day we went down only in true QPR manner could we win the game and still go down.
Easy to blame the Man Utd 108 minute goal at home that made it 1-1 that said in some ways it was good when they scored other wise we would never have got home.
But the truth of the matter was Wilkins spunked the money from the sale of Les he took us down due to bad buys and bad management.

Anyway here we stand 2011 crossed many rivers seen chairmen, directors come and go seen some of the weirdest headlines in football.
I would need to write ten books on what has gone on at QPR in the years out of the premier but today is not a day to look back.

Today we will see the club back in the Premier and in true QPR style we will also see what they tell us is a new owner but to me it looks more like someone joining the board to take the heat off Flavio and Bernie.
The new good cop is in town bad cops will sit back and work out the return on them buying the club for nothing and seeing it back in the big time all that TV money is it really 90m and we spent just over 1m of that in the transfer market, the mother of all gambles and if we stay up Neil Warnock should get manager of the year and freedom of the bush.

There is no point in talking about Flavio and Bernie with their man at the Helm Paladini we all know why there are here and what it is all about.
Today is about Queen's Park Rangers FC the fact that again when we come down the road and see them flood lights we know the season is back on and all i can is i am ready for it whatever it brings.
That is the good part of football Mansfield or Man Utd them hoops on the pitch will always belong to us no matter who owns the keys to the ground.

There was times when we near lost our club and i guess to the fans today priced out of the first game of the season it has been to them and that is the real shame on our owners.

In Neil we trust and we will be backing him from today to May no matter what or what position we hold in the league as no matter what goes on he is blameless and he is also a man who can hold his head up high.
I am 42 today today i feel 10 again my stomach is doing 0-180 in one sec i can not wait to get to the pub the ground see some old mates and then it all starts again.
The premier is not or ever will be what football to us is about it is always and always will be Queen's Park Rangers.
But it is a joy to see the club among the best in the world again even if it may not be on par it is nice as they say to be here.

Anyway Come on U R's

The QPR Statement well what can you say?

I am not one for not saying what i think but who ever wrote that needs to look at themselves and also how the club look to the rest of the football world when they publish things like that.
I am not sure if the PR people at QPR are being more Lord Haw Haw or Benny Hill with their statements.

I bet when Warnock read that he must have near crashed his tractor and who can blame him his mistake in the eyes of Flavio i am sure was when he thanked Amit Bhatia for taking him to QPR.
Flavio likes people to know who is the boss and who is not and i think we now know.

What hacks me off is this we are weeks away from the start of the season a time when the team and manager are trying to build to take on some of the best teams in the world and even chelsea in the premier next season and then that comes out.

They did not save our club either they took it over and paid nothing for it, we got lucky when we got Warnock in and stayed up which was good in our manager of the month phase the club had at the time.

The bit that makes me laugh is when they say they will build for the future that means that C Club will get some nice new tables then as that is the only building done at our club.

I know that the manager will say nothing and wait for them to push him out as he will want too no matter what happens to be a premier league manager come the 13th of August.
After that who knows what will happen to us and him i would hope that no matter what goes on next season that no one will blame Neil or the players they will always give their all our problems is that we have a boardroom that seeks war when it should make peace and that gives you a mini when it wants you to win a race of 4x4's.
Good Luck Neil the fans are with you,
