How did we get to here?

I know many will not agree with how i see how Queen's Park Rangers is being re banded and reasons this far why it has failed.

When Dastardly and Muttley left our club the new era was about to start they had spent little in the summer and the thoughts at the time was they were happy to take the TV money and invest as little as pos.
Then with the club having a huge bust up seeing Amit walk away, the hope was under the new owners Amit would comeback and he would work along side Tony Fernandes and they got to work ASAP on the transfer market and got in some big names to show the football world that they mean business.
And this humble West London club can beat the best teams in the world on and off the pitch..
The re branding was about to come into play not that many off us cared we had at last got a chance that would see us as a club move forward,

We all know how last season went so i am going to try and get my head round where and what has gone so badly wrong this season.
That starts and ends with the appointment of Mark Hughes i like the rest of us really shocked but happy when he came, not even his i interviewed the board and they share the same ambition as me made any bells start to ring.
We somehow stayed up and then him and the board i guess set out their blueprint for the club.

And that is where my head spins i have no issue with mr Fernandes coming to QPR or his reasons he is a business man and that means he came here to make this club work and as a side issue of  that his own business would do well, there is no sane person in the world who would have a issue with that,it is a win,win for all Rangers do well and he does therefore making more monies ready to spend how could this be a bad idea?.

But things started to move very fast players started coming in at a rate of knots that was shocking in it's speed and also the kind of player coming in plus wages.
Now with the likes of Park i can see what the board were thinking this man can be the face of QPR on planes in the far east and raise our brand level to that of something we would only dream of.
And also in the thinking was i think let us build this 45k ground and the plan is that people will flood to QPR from the far east just to see games and they will pay top wack in tickets and spend in the club shop, and with that they can then take QPR to the next level.

And you see that is a bit of the problem they took their eyes off the picture that Hughes and his agent pals were building and that was a squad of players on their last deal and who seem to have lost their way and hunger.
And also they did something insane and was give us two international keepers that is beyond insane in wages.
But while Park is captain and he can put bums on planes and seats and do the business on the pitch this plan should work....

Along come Swansea and blow project QPR up in one afternoon of 90 minutes.
Even i dared to dream that all this money coming into the club and players would make the club safe for the future which to me is beyond everything and we can have a season our fans deserve.
That will teach me.

Again i will be panned for saying this but the board made huge mistakes on and off the pitch in the summer one of which was to ignore the will of most and not have a fans forum so the normal fan like me and others can just have a chat and listen to those who run the club and try and work as one to make this work.
But they did their own thing and that is fine and dandy but did with some leave a bad taste when they ignored some and moved people from their seats and next season will see them people pay more now if the club had taken just five minutes to talk to fans on this, that would not have been the case.

The huge mistake the club made was to go too fast too soon in the changes and not bring in a wise head like David Dein or someone of that ilk to oversee the changes and also he knows football inside out and would not have let Hughes do half the damage he did.

The boardroom will i hope sit down and think this whole re branding process and take what is special about Queen's Park Rangers and with that we will and can become the dream they all want us to be part of.

For what it is worth yes we can stay up,but it will take some job and while we have fight in the team we need to also move out in every way we can those that do not want to be here and have no belly for the fight.
If we stay up we need as one to all step back and breathe it has been a rough couple of seasons and both the fan base and club have had a lot to take in and i hope and pray that the board will learn from all the mistakes made.
And we will be stronger and wiser for it and it don't even matter what league we are in as long as we have a team to support.
And what also matters is the club history culture and fans above the re branding or project as some may call it.

Today is a day when we need the team to stand up for themselves and anything less than a point will see the manager and staff under more pressure.
I think today we need to see Adel and Junior Hoilett have to start and also have to find away of Helping Zamora up front as at times he looks like he needs someone to work with,

We need a win simple as that which is why i said the players need to stand up and be counted as does the manager.
He has been backed by the board i am not sure i agree that we have only been out played twice in my mind we have been lucky that many teams have not taken chances that our defense give at will.
That said this is a team that has talent but as yet no cutting edge and playing for a draw to me is madness.
The team i would play is this Júlio César,
Bosingwa, Hill,Nelsen,Traoré,
Taarabt,Granero,Derry,Faurlín,Hoilett
Zamora

Then again i am not paid 3m a year so what do i know Everton are hard to beat and also have something we so badly need and that is they work as a team and give up on nothing but today we can turn that all upside down and get among them and once we get that win we can go into the next game so some hope, lose and i fear that Mark Hughes quote that we will never be in this  position again will look empty words.

The fans as always will play the role of the 12th player but we need something to feed from and that we can all build on.
Tommy Smith scored last season and won the points but this is not the same team today that we are playing they will be up for it and i hope we are.
I look at far better players in our squad and can not get my head round why we have been so poor.
The season does not start today but our fightback can.

Hope in them Hoops

I have not done one of these for ages so please forgive again my poor Grammar.

Right hands up all those at WBA  that when we had a chance to steal a point at the end could not believe our luck?
Not just me then.

I have no idea what is wrong with the club at the moment or why on earth we find ourselves at the foot of the table without a win and looking like a team that starts with it's best players on the bench which is new to me in all my years of watching the game.

Something is very wrong at the club is the mindset i have after seeing all our games this far and the talk of players jumping into a taxi when told not in the team and heading back to London is a worry and i hope not the case.
I ask myself did the board give too much power to Mark Hughes as it looks like he is in control of things on and off the pitch or do we need a wise old head in the background in the way David Dein did at Arsenal?

I keep saying to myself the season starts Sunday or Saturday but that is not the case our season started as we know at the hammering of us by Swansea and apart from the Chelsea and Spurs game we have been poor this far in what we need is to understand where we are and show some hunger and also play like the team we know we can be we have some of the best players at the club since the 90's so why do we find ourselves in this position is what i want to know.

And also that Interview with Adel was both sad and unreal at the same time i do not recall seeing a player in that state ever on camera and i hope he and Hughes sort it out as that was more than a worry to look at.

I also have a huge faith that we can find our feet but that is something as a QPR fan we are born with i guess.
I also still have huge faith and still thank Tony Fernandes for buying into the QPR dream but Tony i have watched football for over thirty years and do know like many others what i am talking about.

And i hope to god that Tony and Amit stay with us and put in place the plans that will take our club to the next level and also take what is so special about us and they don't need me to tell them what that is they have been around long enough to know that, but what i will say our fans do have the right to panic at times in fact being born QPR it should be our middle name.

Now this is the bit where i say it will all be great on Monday morning and we will be shouting Rangers are back loud and proud and as it may seem mad i do think we can win, all i will say is that i will take one win and two draws from the next four and that will give me hope.

Last two things are sad to see Faurlin out of the team and also Joey Barton what a fool that man is i seem he said he only came for the money after leaving his beloved Newcastle was that the same Newcastle that he hammered so much on the Open all R's podcast that like he said QPR did put him in the youth set up?
Now he is in love with the French and all things from his window he looks out of well until he finds himself with the youth set up perhaps Joey it may just be you that is the problem?

Anyway i have hope in them hoops some come on Rangers on Sunday

Our Bit Part In Super Sunday

I have not done a blog post for sometime reason for that is simple enough a few too many people pointed out my poor grammar and lack of spelling which being born with Dyslexia among other acts of fun from god i thought  i would take the bull by the horns and do one and like all my life my errors are well pointed out.

Trouble is i am back as i have to get this out of my system so in advance i am sorry to the spelling and grammar police.

Right tomorrow is the day all the media care about who picks up the trophy and can tour it round the World ASAP and make more TV money and all the other tours that come with it.Then moan about too many clubs in this league and to many games via the world circus that is the Premier League
We as in QPR and Bolton have a bit part in all this we are the clubs that now stand over the trapdoor to the championship and our downfall will be knew come after 90 Mins tomorrow.

Even Sir Alex wants us to do a "wee Aberdeen" Alex if we beat City tomorrow and you win the league it will mean nothing to us at all what matters to us is our club and that club staying up, Just like we do not matter to you in anyway unless Ashley Young needs to take a dive and win a game.

The whole hype over this game is mad, even on the respected Guardian podcast they think we could lose by eight or more.
Such poor respect for a club that has comeback from the dead to somehow get back in the top league and has 90 mins to save its dreams.

One thing this season has not been is dull we have good people in the boardroom internationals on the pitch our fan base as one and a club that many know is going places new ground, training ground, youth set up all on the minds of the owners and even Land in our heartland  on the verge of being paid for where we will have our new home.
And yet we wait our league fate in the background of sky TV fireworks and that tape they cover miles of earth with, the premier league big wigs and playing a club who's fans know all very well the pain of seeing your club fall into poor hands and lower leagues and like us never walked away.
Ironic in a way the game is with City as i say they know our pain and any other time i would be over the moon for them forgive the pun.

Queen's Park Rangers i would not swap ya for all the clubs in the world i just pray and hope we somehow pull it off tomorrow and Bolton Sky and The BBC will take no notice of if it is us or you that goes down but i know too well how they and we will feel tomorrow night.

I will be there next season i don't care where it is or what league as Morrissey once said there is a light that never goes out.

Neil Warnock

Ok not done a blog for ages due to many things in life that my time is not my own,
Being honest reading his thoughts on QPR today in the paper Via Indyrs it left me more in shock than even cold.
I know Neil will divide thoughts on him in the game and i get that,But at Queen's Park Rangers he was the man who took us from the arse of the league to Champions into the Premier and done what will be seen in many years as the man who put down  the foundations of whatever happens to our great club and all that comes our way would not have been done unless we as a club took the step and put Neil and his team in charge.

Steve Russell always  said to me you judge a person and what they did at the club if they made a difference and he did that in mountain loads.
People forget how bad as a club we were back then Hart had come in and killed us on the pitch we could not beat Uxbridge under tens also as seen now in the four year plan away from the pitch the club was a basket case.
He came in and saved us then not only that took us up in his first season,he stopped the constant and failed go at taking in unheard of players and went for championship players and in Paddy Kenny one of the best keepers i have seen at QPR since Seaman.

I said at the time the fans will give a manager what he gives to us and i have to say QPR and Neil never left anything in the ground we gave everything as he did and the reward for that was one of the best seasons we have ever had.
For many a year QPR had become a joke club in the papers with some idiots in the boardroom now gone thank god treating the press and fans like idiots, lucky for us Neil seen that the fans were out on their knees and he took us off them and then some.
I never thought i would ever see Queen's Park Rangers as champions only a season after i left the city ground after a 5-0 result.
Truth is i thought we would be leaving the league via the other exit to call us poor was a crime on poor football teams.
Not helped by a board that hired a manager then spent its time after that shooting them down and a even using their own websites to bring them down, dark days and sad to see our great club devoid of the soul that made us the People's club of West London.

I have said before on here that football saved me from hell at times and this year was a poor one away from QPR and i know this makes me sad but QPR got me over it at times.
How can one person who wears them hoops ever forget last season from Derby away to Swansea home when you came out of them games you knew this team was special this was a team that can wear the word champions with pride and they did.

I am also said to see that Neil was removed by text i want to say that is poor and was a mistake in my book the man done more for us that deserves better than a goodbye and thank you text.

Neil Warnock from a QPR fan who has seen our club kicked about like a can and treated like rubbish even from those who owned us can i just say thank you for coming in to our club and for the hope you gave  us as fans and for making us put the words PREMIER LEAGUE back in place along side Queen's Park Rangers.

We have our Rangers back for that i could never thank you enough.

Dreams of day's like today when at London Road

I was told the other week that my grammar was woeful and it is true it is but bugger all i can do about it,i could not spell a word till i was near twelve the curse of an over active mind mixed with the dyslexia head.
Anyway sorry to you all in reading my bad grammar rants.

The last weeks on the football field more than great like the win over the great Satan and then walking to spurs with the tiger cubs was just magic,
Downside was My poor old mum is fighting every day to get her health back and during them times it brings back how football can act as a safety net for life and what it chucks at ya at times.

Talking of Chelsea just when you think you can not hate them enough you can always find that extra bit of hate.

Today we play City top of the League and a team that would beat anyone millions spent and i wonder when they dropped down the leagues like us did they dare to dream these days are going to come and riches they would have.

Come to think of it did we, when being spanked at London Road on a cold Oct night. Then again perhaps it is the darkness of them days that make the light we have now seem so bright.
I guess not but i do not hate City and never have always got on well with their fans apart from when Jamie Pollock scored THAT own goal and sent them down and only the rain saved us from a very angry mob.
I am looking forward to seeing their fans again down the bush i wonder if they have changed a wee since the old days they used to come in the White Horse and once i swapped my Rangers scarf for a Man City one i said to a fella this scarf was at Man Utd when we won and he was his was at a European final but said  it would be an honour to swap and he did.

I am sure today old Curly Watts is dancing on his bin round i always recall his city scarf from the old days when City were the team from Manchester so ironic with all our riches today is the Peoples club from Manchester playing at the Peoples club of West London.
That said i really hope we win sure they can always get the three points back of Chelsea it's just so easy.
Good luck City after today.and get well soon Mum

This is the day

Today is here at last OK I know this game means more to us than it does them and I do not care about that.
It is what it means to me that matters, words would fail me if I even give it a go in saying why I hate the Great Satan from the Kings Road.
Even when we were two leagues below them it did not matter I have seen us hammer them and also lose they hurt more than anything.

I do not care how Chelsea re brand themselves to me I can and will never forget going there in the 80's and 90's and how vile their fans were at that ground and when they came to the bush.
On the way to see my mum who is in St Mary's for a bad fall myself and my sister driving down Chippenham road seen a scum fan on his bike honest to god you would think it was a cartoon brought to life.
Looked like a man who nicked the car from back to the future and came from 1979 full skinhead tattoos that would shame a simpleton.
Anyway I tried to get near him to hammer him about today to my sisters horror but he went the wrong way not for the first time in his life.

Now how insane is that but I can not help myself I see that shirt and it makes my blood boil.
But today for me is about Gary Bannister,Alan McDonald and for some reason that goal by Kevin Gallen make me think of days like today image of McDonald with his fists in the air from when we done them back in the day when beating them was no shock.

Today is more than that no one will give us a chance they will down and litter the place and large it up and yes they have won things and I do not care I have always said it and always will I would never give up a day of being a QPR fan for what they have had or got.
Queen's Park Rangers are the peoples club of West London yes we now have the money so long missing but one thing we never did that they did was walk away when the dark days came in fact our gates went up.
This club means everything to us and today is not our cup final as they say on their sites it is a day when we as fans thank god we picked up them blue and white hoops and became fans of the greatest football club in the world and not one of them,
Heroes will be born today songs will be wrote no its not a cup final it is when the peoples club shake off it's chains and tells the football world we are Queen's Park Rangers and we are back and give me that blue flag to........well you know the rest.
Come on my team Come on U R's

And today is for our Daphne

“we''ll never play you again”

Cast my mind back to the last time I was at Fulham and I recall the waving passports of the R's fans at Alf as he did his walk about looking like a total headcase on day release.

Also Rob Styles who should have come in full Fulham shirt I know many fans think that some refs have it in for their club but I can say that he hated us he made the Wham wannabe Roger Milford look like the greatest ref ever.

Queen's Park Rangers as a club was in a real mess off and on the pitch Fulham might have only won by one goal but truth was they killed us that day and it was easy too see that they were on the way up as we were as clubs going in different directions.

The sad thing is I have no hate for Fulham at all never seen them as rivals and on the odd time a QPR game was called off late once or twice we went to their place and their fans at that time were decent and you could chat and they knew we were QPR and no hassle.

But that game changed it for me they acted up it was kicking off all over the ground, put in the mix the fact their fans could not even manage any kind of comeback to our chants.

Best of which was aimed at a man who was not the tallest and kept giving us the old wanker signs and cutting his neck as in you will get it out side kind of thing to which my mate at the time along with many others seen this during a quiet moment in a mad game sang back at him “you only work at Christmas” to which sent him over the edge and he had to be moved away.

Then at our place they came and acted up like public schoolboys on a day out and managed to find their first porn mag on the bus.

With that song “we''ll never play you again”

Now looking back on it we did hit our lowest point in being in admin we went down the legs and over them years seen us as fans save the club and no matter how bad them days at times were it was always the fans that took us forward.

And now many years later we are really saved and have players that will not only give Fulham a game but will be able to beat them something that was missing back in them days.

Now I hate that song and will never sing it to anyone as I know how I felt when them fecktarts stood as one and sang it to us.

Now Fulham will see on Sunday that some of us will never forgive them for that and nor should we.

I leave the Fulham fans will think this quote over as we show them who the real peoples club of West London is.

“The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory. That's the essence of it.”

Frankly Mr. Spall

Yesterday I was reading that bit in the Daily Mail about Joey Barton by Leo Spall, This hack was trying to understand our managers mindset in giving the armband to Joey and before that Adel.
They even managed to get in the picture of a Wolves player in a heap and Barton walking away.
I was shocked they also did not get out the photo shop and say that during half time Joey jumped into a time machine and was the man who indeed shot JFK.

The hack also is worried that our children will indeed copy Joey Barton in the playground,So there you have it people if a child in the playground lifts his or her fingers to tell the other team of the score then football is over it it is finished.
What a load of old shite.

Right I like most Rangers fans watched that game and from the start of that game the Wolves players were sent out to hurt Joey or wind him up.
Now that does not make good Daily Mail headlines but that is how I seen it.

What also seemed to have bypassed the saviour of the game Mr Spall was the shocking leg smasher of a tackle by the Wolves player Nick Henry
Which I feel Joey was lucky to get up from and if Joey had of done that tackle on Henry and the ref missed it the FA would have come in and he would have been banned from a few games as they should have done with Henry.

Do not get me wrong I am not going to stand up for what Joey has done in the past or defend it but I think as a fan of our club I seen things in many ways and I see the lad coming to QPR and I will judge him on what his does in our Hoops.
And what I seen at Wolves does not I feel need a hack to try and question a manager who took a club from the drop door in the league to Champions the following season.
By asking in his outrage is Neil Warnock an agent provocateur?
He is a manager in the same manner of 100 per cent of the rest of the managers in the premier league.

I bet the same hack would be like many in the media very quick to say that Paul Scholes is not dirty just late in his tackles and make jokes about him and buses double standards I think in more than one way.
Being honest I ask myself why this man is so outraged by Joey wanting to have words with the sunday league style tackle done by Henry and his telling the fans the score it is a real shame that the same person did not ask why the FA did not take action on Henry and also how well Queen's Park Rangers played and how we used the ball and if our manager was from either of the North London Premier teams they would be saying that we are a great side with craft vision and style and will be a good side to watch in the premier.
But we are not and no matter how well the other lads do on the pitch the press and cameras only want to make Joey Barton the demon in the game and never give us credit for anything.

Well I am sorry to Leo Spall but fact of the matter is that Queen's Park Rangers are not the anti christ of football and nor or we a dirty side we play on the floor and I ask him to watch the whole game and talk about the game not his pre wrote match  notes that all it needs is to be sent to the paper after the end of the game.

Oh and no ,Warnock and Joey are not agent provocateurs but two men trying to keep Queen's Park Rangers in the premier league forgive us but come May we will be pleased to shove your words down you neck and look forward to you writing on us being a team of players that deserve our status in the premier league.
But I fear that will never happen but as long as the first bit does what you say is only fit to serve as bog roll should the need be.

The Game Above All

While on the tube yesterday I took note of how much this city is changing day by day and how London seems to want to replace our history with eye sore like buildings that look like a one year old was let lose with Lego.
Going in from Barnet I shared a train with some Chelsea fans now as a rule I love to talk as anyone who knows me will tell you and also I do like to chat to other fans at times.
But I sat down and just took note of what they talked about and bite my lip the words filled my head of our take on their blue flag song.
And I have to be honest I do not like them in fact I hate them always have and will can not change that now at my age.
But I was shocked on what they talked about it is all about how many goals they will score and if trying to google the other teams players as they had no idea about them at all.

Worst of all the young lad had only seen them lose twice in the years he was going and I swear in his head he felt that they can not lose at home and if they do the manager needs to go.
I was amazed at this.
Not due to them being fans of the club I hate but as I felt when I was young all the fun in going to the game is seeing your lads do all they can to beat the other side.
I do not think I have ever gone a season or a mind set that if we do not win the games and beat all in front of us and by not doing so it is not sorrow I feel due to the loss but anger almost spolit child like that someone did not read the rules of the new modern football.

I think of talking to my mates on Monday and all we could think about was we now have a team that can and will give anyone in this league a game as with Bolton the other week if we did not change that we would have done a Derby.

Anyway my point of this blog today is I am glad we are not like them I am pleased that when and if we are lucky enough to win one of the three top trophies we will enjoy it and understand that a football club is not about the glory it is indeed the game above all.

I still can not take in the fact that on a radio phone in a Chelsea fan came on and said that winning the FA only would be seen as a failed season.
No, with that mindset you are a failed fan of the game.

Friday, 26 August 2011

Gracie Fields your boys gave us a kicking.

What a week we beat Everton Shaun Derry faultless and played the best midfield role in a Rangers shirt since god knows when.
Right after the game i turned to my mates and said that's us out of the league cup on Tuesday then,so it came that Rochdale came down and well worth their win and the 2nd goal would have looked good in the premier.

That said our manager did not care nor the players i wish they would have said before the game that they would give the game away so easy and not made us dig in and pay £15 to watch that load of old rubbish
Then also comes the word that Rangers are after the one and only and much issued Joey Barton a man who stands up to cheats by cheating, and who also plays The Smiths twitters poet and also has a hair cut that George Orwell would have loved.

He is called trouble and there is a topic right away on the message boards but and this is the big but the boy can play if he was without his moments of madness he would be in the England team  then you read this Joey Q and A and you see something different in the man not saying what he does is right at all in fact the cigar act was pure vile but reading that made me think a wee bit i grew up in one of the hardest estates in Belfast and then one in London as well that was not easy to live in.

And you get to see how easy it is for people with a brain to be ignored and left to chase dreams and fail due to the fact the world turns it's back on such Estates at times.
Joey is complex and deep some what insane at times.
But you feel he is in love with the game and it is a shame if the lad will end the game with a media tag and no medals.

I always think back to Mark Dennis one of the best footballers i have seen at QPR forget the headlines that man without his moments would have been  int he  England team.
But he made his mistakes and his talent ignored and i hope Joy does does not suffer the same fate.
Look at Poor old Gazza the media made him feel they were laughing with him yet they set him up to knock him down week after week.

Now back to dear old Rochdale i am think and maybe they do but it is wrong they do not belt out a Gracie Fields number During the game.

Ok this week in QPR land we said hello and goodbye to the League Cup and perhaps Joey Barton now a cure for all that is Three points at Wigan

it's the dawning of a new era

They say a week in politics is a long time,at Queen's Park Rangers it is more a lifetime and also from despair to a rebirth in a week was something to sit down think over maybe shed a tear of joy that the club is now away from the fire of doom and in the hands of people that promise to help build dreams.

On the way to Everton yesterday i sat in the car thinking of all the times i have spent on the motorways and in service stations chatting to people giving a U R's to fellow hoops and feeling such pride in that iconic shirt.
And always as well with seeing other teams fans walking around same as us with hopes and dreams the season is still too young for despair and the false dawns are still in mind and the dreams alive.
That said last Saturday was the worst start to the season is so many ways and yet a week on heading home down the motorway the car was buzzing fans at the service stations happy again means so much.

I knew nothing about our new owner but i like what he says and i like the fact he understands football as is in the game and he already has but people into run the business side of it and the passion is back in the boardroom.

Gone will be the mindset of some fans are better than others the years of spin and lies and the worst of crimes the vile smears put about Loftus Road about fans players and even managers.
It was a breeding ground for them as lies was the key used to gain the club and turn it at times  a monster seeing fans argue and fight was just so sad and wrong and i hope that them days will now be gone.

It will also see the end of agents coming into the club and writing their own contracts on insane deals that seen the club become a cash cow to those who have no interest in our club.
The dark shadow of greed hung over us like the grim ripper would come from time to time and many times we were pulled out of  the frying pan to be chucked straight into the fire.

Now at last i can sit back and feel like that kid who sat on them coaches that went all over the land to see the Queen's Park Rangers and i can say loud and proud that this time we are truly saved.
And yesterday i dedicate to the wonderful person who took me onto them coaches for the first time and took me into the Queen's Park Rangers family that is dear old and  much missed Mrs Daphne Biggs god bless her and our new QPR.

Saturday, 13 August 2011

"Never, never, never, never give up."”

I must be old well i know i am but i recall the day we went down only in true QPR manner could we win the game and still go down.
Easy to blame the Man Utd 108 minute goal at home that made it 1-1 that said in some ways it was good when they scored other wise we would never have got home.
But the truth of the matter was Wilkins spunked the money from the sale of Les he took us down due to bad buys and bad management.

Anyway here we stand 2011 crossed many rivers seen chairmen, directors come and go seen some of the weirdest headlines in football.
I would need to write ten books on what has gone on at QPR in the years out of the premier but today is not a day to look back.

Today we will see the club back in the Premier and in true QPR style we will also see what they tell us is a new owner but to me it looks more like someone joining the board to take the heat off Flavio and Bernie.
The new good cop is in town bad cops will sit back and work out the return on them buying the club for nothing and seeing it back in the big time all that TV money is it really 90m and we spent just over 1m of that in the transfer market, the mother of all gambles and if we stay up Neil Warnock should get manager of the year and freedom of the bush.

There is no point in talking about Flavio and Bernie with their man at the Helm Paladini we all know why there are here and what it is all about.
Today is about Queen's Park Rangers FC the fact that again when we come down the road and see them flood lights we know the season is back on and all i can is i am ready for it whatever it brings.
That is the good part of football Mansfield or Man Utd them hoops on the pitch will always belong to us no matter who owns the keys to the ground.

There was times when we near lost our club and i guess to the fans today priced out of the first game of the season it has been to them and that is the real shame on our owners.

In Neil we trust and we will be backing him from today to May no matter what or what position we hold in the league as no matter what goes on he is blameless and he is also a man who can hold his head up high.
I am 42 today today i feel 10 again my stomach is doing 0-180 in one sec i can not wait to get to the pub the ground see some old mates and then it all starts again.
The premier is not or ever will be what football to us is about it is always and always will be Queen's Park Rangers.
But it is a joy to see the club among the best in the world again even if it may not be on par it is nice as they say to be here.

Anyway Come on U R's

The QPR Statement well what can you say?

I am not one for not saying what i think but who ever wrote that needs to look at themselves and also how the club look to the rest of the football world when they publish things like that.
I am not sure if the PR people at QPR are being more Lord Haw Haw or Benny Hill with their statements.

I bet when Warnock read that he must have near crashed his tractor and who can blame him his mistake in the eyes of Flavio i am sure was when he thanked Amit Bhatia for taking him to QPR.
Flavio likes people to know who is the boss and who is not and i think we now know.

What hacks me off is this we are weeks away from the start of the season a time when the team and manager are trying to build to take on some of the best teams in the world and even chelsea in the premier next season and then that comes out.

They did not save our club either they took it over and paid nothing for it, we got lucky when we got Warnock in and stayed up which was good in our manager of the month phase the club had at the time.

The bit that makes me laugh is when they say they will build for the future that means that C Club will get some nice new tables then as that is the only building done at our club.

I know that the manager will say nothing and wait for them to push him out as he will want too no matter what happens to be a premier league manager come the 13th of August.
After that who knows what will happen to us and him i would hope that no matter what goes on next season that no one will blame Neil or the players they will always give their all our problems is that we have a boardroom that seeks war when it should make peace and that gives you a mini when it wants you to win a race of 4x4's.
Good Luck Neil the fans are with you,

Jay Bothroyd

Yesterday we took the first step of bringing players to the club by signing one.
In true QPR fashion his wage details and full terms of his deal with the club was some how leaked onto the internet.
If it is his real deal then i guess it shows there is no such thing as a free deal in football.
That said he is a player that i think the fans will be happy to see put on a Rangers shirt.

He is said to be joined soon by DJ Campbell and also the lad Naughton from Tottenham both them deals make sense and also beefs us up on much needed pace.
Dyer i think that deal will only make sense come may and if he plays a number of games and a key role in keeping us up then all well and good if however he just sits in the treatment room then that would look a poor return on a squad place.

It is hard to know if the club played a waiting game with the fans and by doing so knew that we would be grateful just to see some  players come in the door and as the owners continue to down talk the club and  our hopes for the season.
Then we as fans will jump for joy no matter who comes in.

In Warnock we trust its the QPR board that scare me.

Welcome to Queen's Park Rangers Jay

The Vampire's Clutch

With all the talk of the season ticket prices and also the awful PR QPR have got over it i was over the moon to get my renewal pack in the post today.
The buzz word of Rangers seems to be "dream"

I did not open it as what is the point the prices have been out for a wee bit now and it is not like they have had a huge re think and doing the right thing,

The thing is we have been away from the top flight for some time and a huge chunk of our fans just want to see top flight football again and that is understandable.
To me the anger is the people who can not be part of this "Dream" priced out,and come next season instead of them being the 12th man on the pitch they will be at home game on and either screaming at the radio or TV and that is the who sadness in all of this.
To me  i can not think of not being able to go to Loftus Road it is what i have done since i moved here from Northern Ireland near thirty years ago.

Rangers is more than a football or a passion it is something so special that words could not say what it means to us all.
But someone else will come in if i don't and take on my seat will the new breed have the passion will they understand the icon shirt the greatness of Stan Bowles,Gary Bannister and think back of Kevin Gallen arms in the air at Sheffield Wednesday when we got out of League Two as it was then.
Will their heart miss a beat when the tube goes past the ground and the floodlights light the sky on a winters night.
I hope so as i am only one person i will always be a fan of Queen's Park Rangers but i have no blood left to give.
I can see Flavio leaning over me like a Vampire in true hammer horror style but even the hardest hearted Vampires would be ashamed at the amount of blood this board want from it's own fans.

I read the debates about what makes a real fan and what does not and i find it sad that fellow fans all be it a few thank the gods, who feel the need to question fans loyalty over not being able to get a season ticket and also even some mock them.
The fact remains that to me Queen's Park Rangers was always more than just a football club so much more.
Nothing ever will replace the sight of my beloved blue and white hoop shirts at some of the best grounds in the land and also some of the worst.
How can it or the play back in my mind of John Byrne and Gary Bannister take on Chelsea and hammer them a class apart, and when August the 13th comes not only is it my 42 birthday it is the day when i start a season without that one thing that makes my life whole the season ticket to the R's,  now one thing QPR are right about this season all it will be to me is a dream .

It seems my club feel i was good enough in the days we played Port Vale and so on but not for Liverpool.

I wish Neil Warnock and the lads in the best football shirt in the world all the luck in the world they are the real heroes in all this and we as fans will give them our heart and soul but the boardroom  of Vampires have sucked our blood dry.

BBC London me on season tickets and Amit Bathia

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/9497535.stm

The Week They Turned My Club Into A Monster

I said many times on here and elsewhere how much Queen's Park Rangers means to me so i do not did to do that again.
But to sum up things i will try my best a few weeks back i with many others did a walk from our ground in London W12 to Watford it took hours and even had to watch out for golf balls, For Amit Bathia backed Tiger Cubs  It was a great day spent with fellow Rangers fans and at the end of the game we became a Premier club.
Also a few days before my Dad died and people were shocked i turned up i guess but i could not think of better people to be with on such a time and also a great way to deal with it as i said before we were not close but he was my Dad.
And that is the weird thing QPR has always been there for me in dark times i lost myself following the team looking forward to the next game.
Even now as a balding fat 40 something going past them floodlights gives me a kick.

I know my club and how special it is and in the times of when Chelsea spent millions and there fan base changed overnight we had a real club to follow it did not matter what ground what team how many was there we were the biggest social club in the world.

My mates also who went to games with me let QPR become their second club and loved what we had.
This week i have seen the owners of Queen's Park Rangers kill all the good things and good name my club had.
Since that FA report and case my friends think of a very different QPR to the one they liked i felt awkward but steadfast in my love and faith for Rangers.
There has been an ugly monster that has burst out of our Official website this week first the season ticket prices which are beyond gross and unfair on home and away fans but most of all to the hard care family fan base we have that now see themselves as priced out, good enough for Mansfield and Bury but bye bye when the so called stars come to town heartbreaking for many of them.
And then Amit Bathia leaving the boardroom a man who was decent and who came and fell in love with the club it's fans and our history and culture he understood our mindset.

Then came the FA report and it was not a good read for our Chairman and a man who would not know the truth if it kicked him up the R's Gianni Paladini any other club would have kicked him out after such a case.
Now he stays and they let Amit Bathia go and shows the moral compass of our club.

Then the monster awakes again and on it's website sends out that Statement from Flavio and Bernie and it is nothing less than Lord Haw Haw at his best utter vileness and shows no respect  for the fans and the truth.
Yesterday i seen my club give birth to the monster of all clubs.

Then i scan the Mirror and one of the writers hopes we go down,At that time Stephen Fry goes on the radio and says the same now as a man and boy i never care what people say about Queen's Park Rangers as it is always "Oh your the fan" or the old what time is kick off, oh what time can you get here kind of joke.
But most real fans have a lot of time for us and even on cup final day my mates daughters boyfriend was on his bike heading past wembley with his R's shirt on the Man City fans stop him lots of pats on the backs and well done and good to see you back in the premier.
He felt ten feet tall and to be honest being a R's fan people in the most will do that.

The club this week have sent out a message that killed any good will dead most people see the club as greedy and vile and cashing in on sucking football fans blood dry.
And the utter crap about the season tickets prices being in line with other clubs sent people into a laughing over drive.

The F1 mindset is not welcome at W12 and anyone with half a loaf can see that this lot want us all out of the place replaced by people who will turn up buy a scarf and watch a game like a 3D armchair fan go home and the other half they want cash rich tourists they can use as a cash cow on the hope they even exist.

I would like to thank Amit Bathia and his family for they have done for Queen's Park Rangers and it was decent of him to try and stop the price hike and also for all his work he has done for the QPR Tiger Cubs.
You made a difference not many do that from the boardroom to the fans a sad fact in football.

So i guess next season i will spend my time on home games with the Internet on and or a radio the club do not want people like me no more i will get to the odd away game watch the youth.
One day they will go and maybe i will have a Queen's Park Rangers to follow that we again as fans will pick up the mess they leave and once again we can and will be the people's club of West London Real fans Real Dreams.

I won't see as they say on the QPR website the likes of Rooney and Tevez but i seen McDonald,Parker,Sinton,The Bard,Wilson,Bannister,Gallen and Sir Les to name a few and that is who i follow people who wear the greatest football shirt in the world the hoops of Queen's Park Rangers and the greatest fans from W12 To New York and beyond.
You can price me out you can replace me with the so called new breed Premier fan but you can and will never take away from me the true meaning of Queen's Park Rangers or my dreams.

Come on U R's where ever you are

The Farce so Far

Maybe i am in some kind of weird zone but after all the panic of the last few day's i am now in a cool off zone.
What hacks me off is this game that is going on and we as fans as always seem too be in the cross fire.
Now to me the people who have done no wrong in this is our fans our team our manager yet we are the ones that suffer more than most.

The FA to me seem to have pushed on with this for no other reason than a hunch something was wrong but no proof and now you have a farce.

You know the more this case goes on the more you see that all works out to be is a cash cow for the legal wigs and no one gives a rats arse about the fans.
And that is the sadness in all this.

For what it is worth i think we will be ok and just have a slap on the hand and a fine maybe some other action but no points loss this season or the next.
What i do want to see is my club stop us ever being in this position ever again it is not fair on our fans or players and manager.
We are Champions and come on U R's

The FA And Us

Yet again we sit on the edge of something big something that in years go by in the past we could only Dream off the Premier we are there now and yet our fate sits at the hands of men and woman in wigs and not the feet of our players or the tactic board in the dressing room.
We could sit and talk about the rights and wrongs of this case to the cows turn blue and white hoop like, but the fact remains the FA do this to us now right or wrong but who will suffer us the fans where was the FA and it’s help when we the fans went out with buckets to pay bills and get some players in ?
Not seen anywhere near W12 that is for sure.

Now they shout out and to me that is so wrong they let the people in to the clubs and yet when they do something wrong it is the us that takes the hit, God knows we know pain and hurt.
There is also the case that if we do not go up this board of Queen’s Park Rangers could wrap us up due to the debts.
This is a very serious issue and one the FA should look at who let these people in and who let these things go on for two years before now taking this issue to their court.
Punish those who done wrong not our players or fans .
